“The Ghost Inside”

Hall & Oates do Mercer & Burton

No one was injured during the making of this video by Matt McCormick and Bryan Boyce, who set Broken Bells’ “The Ghost Inside” to the video for Hall & Oates’ “Private Eyes.” However, James Mercer did provide the “stunt mouth” for the shoot. Just in case. The end result is seamless—if not slightly creepy. John Oates’ mustache, on the other hand, not creepy at all.

Broken Bells vid is a sexy beast

The newish (ancient in blog years) album from Broken Bells has been a fun, somewhat brief listen here at TDoL HQ. I do like “The Ghost Inside” (the handclaps!) … even though it sounds like a Gorillaz song. Read my two cents on the record here.

The sexy, new, big-production video (again, ancient in blog years) features what’s-her-name from Mad Men, which should get every red-blooded male in the world excited. I know I’m excited. Can’t you tell I’m excited?
